History, technology & what to expect

A short history

First customer deliveries began in July 2017. Model 3 expanded Tesla’s reach with a smaller sedan designed for higher-volume production.

Technology to experience

The central touchscreen brings navigation, charging information and cabin controls together. Refreshed versions add a rear passenger display and ventilated front seats; equipment depends on the rental’s model year and trim.

What to expect at pickup

Expect a lower seating position, quick electric response and regenerative braking that feels different from a gas car. We can walk you through the controls before departure.

Awards & recognition

Euro NCAP awarded the tested Model 3 five stars in 2025 and named it Best in Class in the Large Family Car category. Earlier recognition included 2019 Best in Class honors.

History, technology & what to expect

A short history

Tesla began Model S customer deliveries in June 2012. Its success helped establish the modern premium EV. Tesla’s 2026 manufacturing transition retired the Model S and Model X production lines, giving these flagships a new place in automotive history.

Technology to experience

Model S helped popularize the large center touchscreen and software-led vehicle experience. Later generations introduced the Plaid three-motor powertrain and rear passenger screen. A Plaid badge or newer interior is specific to the vehicle, not every Model S.

What to expect at pickup

Expect a lower, premium sedan driving position with the loading flexibility of a rear liftback. Steering wheel or yoke, displays, suspension and performance vary by generation.

Awards & recognition

MotorTrend selected Model S as its 2013 Car of the Year, the award’s first winner without an internal-combustion engine. In 2019, it named the 2013 Model S its Ultimate Car of the Year.

History, technology & what to expect

A short history

Model X customer deliveries began in 2015. Tesla brought its flagship electric SUV to market with distinctive double-hinged Falcon Wing rear doors. The Model S/X manufacturing lines were retired during Tesla’s 2026 factory transition.

Technology to experience

Powered Falcon Wing rear doors can be operated through vehicle controls; clearances and surroundings still matter. The panoramic windshield extends overhead, while seating, displays and automatic front-door functions depend on year and settings.

What to expect at pickup

Expect a taller cabin and a distinctive view from the front seats. Confirm the exact seat layout, child-seat needs and luggage space. Our handoff can cover powered-door operation and clearance.

Awards & recognition

Euro NCAP named Model X its 2019 Best in Class winner in the Large Off-Road category. This is the test organization’s vehicle category, rather than approval for off-road use in a rental.

FSD (Supervised)

Ask whether your specific rental has compatible hardware and an active FSD (Supervised) entitlement. Availability depends on vehicle, software and region. Active driver supervision is required; this feature does not make the vehicle autonomous.

History, technology & what to expect

A short history

First Cybertruck deliveries began in November 2023. Tesla entered the consumer pickup market with a stainless-steel exterior and a new electrical and steering architecture.

Technology to experience

Steer-by-wire uses electronic control in place of a mechanical link between the steering wheel and front wheels. Rear-wheel steering helps maneuvering. The 48-volt low-voltage architecture and 18.5-inch center display are notable engineering features.

What to expect at pickup

Expect a large truck footprint and a steering response that deserves a careful familiarization drive. Cargo, towing, power outlets and adjustable air suspension depend on configuration and the agreed rental use.

Awards & recognition

Tesla reports a five-star overall NHTSA safety rating for Cybertruck on its product page. The rating applies to the tested model-year configuration.

Utility & off-road capability

Certain configurations offer adaptive air suspension and dedicated off-road modes. Manufacturer capability does not establish rental permission: describe off-road travel, towing or work use in your inquiry so equipment and written terms can be reviewed.

FSD (Supervised)

Ask whether your specific rental has compatible hardware and an active FSD (Supervised) entitlement. Availability depends on vehicle, software and region. Active driver supervision is required; this feature does not make the vehicle autonomous.
